This April has been special in small ways for me. I was able to spend time with good friends, overcome obstacles in my home, health problems and I even lost 5 pounds! It’s been a decent month.

I went LA and hung out with beautiful ladies! I also got to snuggle one of the worlds cutest babies and give her amazing parents big hugs.

Walk for Maddie day was unforgettable, I made my boyfriend happy by wearing his team’s color red even though I bleed Dodger blue, I got through the flu/bronchitis and made it out alive, I filed my taxes on time and am expecting a very decent refund, I celebrated my sister’s and dad’s birthday with my family and witnessed her wearing an embarrassing balloon hat, and Glee came back! Happy Birthday!

After years of infertility and the loss of our precious 1st, we got to see the ultrasound of our 2nd baby moving around and “waving” to us. Completely new territory for us! Also seeing my husband start to bond with this baby melts my heart.

The best thing that happened to me in the last month… well, slightly more than a month, but I have a new baby boy! He’s adorable and I love him bunches! I would also love more sleep, but other than that it’s good! 🙂

I watched as my sister in law married her fiance’ and on top of that gave an AWESOME speech (yeah, I’m calling it awesome, because it was, even had my father in law crying…my goal? to make folks cry, is that weird?). I developed an even closer relationship with God. And, I finally called & made an appointment with my doctor because there is something not right with me (depression? anxiety? no clue, but something).

Happy Birthday! One of the best things that happened in the last month is that my Dad finally came out of his post pancreatic cancer surgery fog and was told he has no cancer left in his body. That’s definitely something to celebrate 🙂

What a glorious birthday!
This month rocked because I successfully met/exceeded many goals. We paid down huge amounts of debt. I ran 3/4 a mile without stopping. I FINALLY 1.5 years later made two loaves of gluten free bread! Gluten free pantry sandwich bread is pretty fabulous if I say so myself. I also made gluten free granola bars all by myself! So April was great.

I hit a PR earlier this month in my running. And in ten days, I will run my second half in Indy. If I told my 28-year-old self that I would have two beautiful children AND have started running, I wouldn’t have believed it. There’s always time to experience new things!

This month has actually been pretty good. I got a paper accepted at a conference in Dublin, which means I’m going to Ireland in June. I interviewed for a job I really wanted and got the offer on Monday 🙂 And I will be defending my dissertation tomorrow (hopefully that will be great too). Good month this April, good month.
