project 365 for giver uppers.

I was totally on board with Project 365 this year. I made it about 45 days consecutively.

There were some days I was forced to take a picture to fulfill the rules, not my passion.

Indy.

There were moments I was inspired to pick up my camera when I wouldn’t have otherwise, and I caught magical moments.

I think I’ve found something that works for me.

By the end 2010 is over I want to end up with 365 photos I love. Some of the ones I have in my set right now may get bumped. Some of the pictures I took out may make it back in.

I rarely like any of the pictures I take.

That is, until I come back to them later.

And you know? They’re not half bad.

To my fellow 365 giver uppers? Want to do it my way? We can totally claim that our way is the right way.

  1. I’ve missed three days and amy miss more so I just keep adjusting the number down. Project 362 is cool, right?

These are some pretty neato shots of you ask me.

  2. Ah! Thank you! Great idea. I’m not so great at those everyday plans–I get one day off and it throws the whole plan to the garbage. This? I can totally do this…and I was just saying yesterday how I don’t use my camera as much as I’d like anymore. Thanks Casey!

  3. I am absolutely on board. I have sucky suck sucked on attempt #2 at Project 365, to the point that starting over seems like a waste. 365 photos I love sounds harder, but I bet it won’t be in the end.

  4. I’m totally down. I’m actually doing a project with my best friend Jessica (The BFF Project is what we’re calling it) where we take photos we love and photos together. We’re always together it seems. I may have to start a Flickr set that’s just 365 Love.

  5. Would you please give Indy folks a photography lesson? I would be forever grateful. Also, do you recommend avoiding my daily 4 cups of coffee before shooting kids’ portraits? Cuz’ that may be deal-breaker, yo.

  6. I like yourrrrr way! And I also like that our daughters have the same name. That usually bothers me because I feel like everyone in the world named their kid Addison after the year 2005 — but for some reasoooooon your Addie is perfectly amazing and curly haired and adorable and I will allow my Addy to look up to her! πŸ™‚

  7. Great minds think alike! I’ve been working on Project 365 and while I haven’t been taking photos everyday, some days have 2 that I like. I got behind on posting them to my website but I’m close to caught up now. I plan to have most days represented and to keep up the air of a photo a day. I love your pictures! πŸ™‚

  8. I think your idea is a fabulous one! I can only take pics (well good ones any how) when I have the photo bug (which is why I could never be a professional photographer and why taking pictures for events freaks me out!)
I might not get to 365 but I will aim for 100 fotos I love!

  9. I’m not really sure what Project 365 is, but it sounds to me like you have to do something every day — which is a huge commitment. I don’t know if I’d be able to do it!

I love the picture of Addie jumping. It’s gorgeous. You should blow it up and frame it, and enter it into a contest. I bet it’d win.

Hell, ALL of these photos are fantastic!
