Blissdom 2010 Day 2

I know I forgot people. Please don’t take it personally.

My head is up in the clouds with happiness from this last weekend at Blissdom.

I love these women. LOVE. @mommystory @iveyleaguemama

I want you to tell me who is what to you.

Leave me comment saying “I strive to be as ______ as _______” and leave a link to their blog or twitter.

Why would you want to do this?

Because it’s nice.

And because I will pick one person to win this…

custom Lisa Leonard necklace, given to the speakers of Blissdom 2010.

A very rare Lisa Leonard necklace. Rare because only the speakers at Blissdom 2010 were given them.

Why am I giving it away? Because. That’s why.

I’ll pick a winner Wednesday, February 10 at Midnight EST.

  1. I am NOT saying this to sweeten you up because I don’t need to win the necklace. I thought this very thing this weekend:

I wish I were more un-inhibited like Casey.

Also? I want to dance like you. And have your smokin’ body.

  2. I was going to say “I want to be as inspiring as @babysteph and @mooshinindy” but reconsidered because really I just want to continue to be inspired *by* @babysteph and @mooshinindy. And I will.

  3. I strive to be as thoughtful as my dear Casey from Moosh in Indy. (No, I’m not trying to suck up!) I take a few moments each day to look at the “You are so loved” canvas everyday and let it sink in. I never truly felt it until I spent two weeks with you.

    And…

I strive to be a little less scared of walking my own path just like Rebecca Woolf from http://www.girlsgonechild.net

  4. I strive to be as…
unselfishly sweet and Madonna-like as babysteph (not Madonna the pop diva…the other one.

unflinchingly honest and gritty-yet-tenderhearted-as-all-get-out as mooshinindy.

  5. I strive to be so many things, especially now that I’m a mom.

I strive to be as honest with my son as I can.
My parents were always honest with us and I think that has played a large part in making me the person I am today. Sometimes honesty is brutal and sometimes it hurts but I value honesty in my life and in my marriage.
I hope to teach my little boy the same thing!

  7. After this weekend, I know it seems a cop out to say that I have so many people I admire in 101 different ways – but, to name a few:

I’d love to have @sassyirishlasie’s dance moves (girl can shake it!).

Love to have @justmalia’s enthusiasm – love how she gets excited about things!

I think my whole family would love if I had @sthrnfairytale’s confidence in the kitchen when it comes to cooking (I can bake – my cooking, on the other hand? Meh…)

I would love to have the confidence with a camera that Mishi, Lotus and you have (though MAD MAD PROPS to my photography buddies at Blissdom who took the time to teach me new things and helped me – Truly a gift to not be selfish with one’s craft, and I’m so lucky they took time for me.)

Blergh. I could go on. But won’t. Basically, those with hearts who shared what’s in it? I want to be like them.

  8. I am NOT saying this to suck up, but it must be said.

I strive to as honest, fun, and brave as YOU.

Seriously. I’ve been sitting here thinking about it all day, and that’s what I came up with.

(I also want to dance like Ivy, but she doesn’t have a Twitter… yet.)

  11. What a lovely idea, Casey. I’m smiling just reading the comments and feeling all the bloggy love.

I strive to be as as confident and yet so-very-humble as my friend Jenn at http://www.flamingobear.com. She inspires so much with her laid-back style and the amazing food she feeds her family. I think of all the traditions and memories she’s creating for her girls, and graciously sharing with us, and I can’t help but get a big ol’ goofy smile on my face.

  13. Still amazed that I was included as hysterical. Thank you.

As for me? I strive to be as original and self-confident as Mishi (@secretagentmama).

And as smart-under-pressure and strong as Amy (@mrschicken).

And as intelligently well-spoken as Catherine (@herbadmother).

There’s so many other women I admire and aspire to in some aspect or another, but my brain is running short on adjectives tonight!

  14. I strive to be as confident in myself as Jim @busydadblog. He not only attended a conference with 500 women, he immersed himself in it. He was funny and was just so great to be around.

There are so many people I met and I know that I love qualities of.

I am thankful to know them all and to know you. xo
