  1. Funny you should have fair funnel cake, because dude, I learned how to make funnel cake at home yesterday. And now I weigh 3000 pounds.

But there are no ponies here, so I guess the fair still has some allure.

I have to ask, did you have the chocolate bacon? Because I do not understand how that can be edible, please enlighten.

  2. Oh, I love the picture of the two girls from the back. So sweet! I love the fair, too. We went to a farm that was having a 4H fair while we were in DC. I had a freshly fried donut and we all shared a funnel cake. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year.

  3. We’re going to the state fair next Friday. I can’t wait! I just hope the weather is nice. It is such a great time of year. The corndogs and roasted corn and watching the kids eyes light up. It is so great.

  4. I love that last picture of the funnel cakes the best. It looks awesome. Definitely raises some nostalgia and hunger issues.

  5. Hurray for pony rides! I am trying to arrange to take my kids there next week. It’s a big part of my youth, and I really want the kids to see “my” fair!

  7. Did you go yesterday? We spent 11 (yes, I said ELEVEN) hours there yesterday. I was the one yelling “Red Light!!” at two 4-yr-olds tearing through the Expo Hall like it was Show Biz…But it was still a GREAT day!.
