NaBloPoMo is over.
I gave almost all I had to give.
You learned about my sordid past, how I met Cody, how I fell in love with Cody, how I became a Mormon, what a wicked awesome baker I am, how I got fat after marrying Cody, how I was an infertile science experiment, how Iย lost 60 pounds while pregnant, what a raging bitch I was when pregnant, how I overdosed when I was pregnant, how I almost threw my kid in a fire, that I dislike Utah, I have a best friend who takes lovely photos, I make out with pillows, I fake it for doctors AND I lock my kid in her room with bungee cords. Oh, and don’t forget all the Mormon pride I slung around like snowballs.
PHEW. That’s not even all of it.
So now’s your time to put out.
I wantย EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU (ALL OF YOU, YEAH, YOU) to delurk on this post. Even if you just say “yo”. But if you’re really feeling ambitious let me know what posts should be included in my “Best Of” collection. I want all of you accounted for, because you’re the only reason I didn’t give up on this madness when I was all hopped up on the Dramamine three nights ago.
So go, delurk, comment, NOW. See that little balloon right down there that says “Dazzlements”? Yeah? Okay click it, enter your name (you can even leave it blank and be known as anonymous), your email (it can even be a fake one if you’re that shy) and if you don’t have a URL leave that spot blank. Clicky “Submit Comment”ย and you’ll make me smile.
Haven’t I worked hard enough for it?
xoxo
I started reading your fantastic blog after I found it through Skye’s blog site. (She was the Mormon missionary who taught me!) I like the majority of your posts, but your recent one about the infertility was funny and insightful. I liked your self-confidence and learning about your cooking skillz too. ๐ Thanks for sharing!

You Must put the dr visit in your best of. I sent it to my cousin who is finishing med school (a girl) and she loved it.
I love your meeting Cody one. That was great too. Oh, and the one with your friends all looking at each other like we must make a baby, and the one where you talk about your depression, and the one about infertility and the one with the pics your bpotp took. You’ve been on a roll…
oh, but, y’know, no pressure or anything to continue to be hilarious.

Okay, you caught me! I’ve been lurking for a couple weeks now, and loving every minute of it. I kept seeing “Moosh in Indy” comments on the blogs I read, so I thought I should see what it’s all about…and I was hooked from the first word. Now that I’ve “broken the ice” I’ll comment regularly. :o) I love your realism and your humor!

Holy crap, Casey. 112 comments previous.
But, I loved your blog the best this November–not to play favorites or nothing. But seriously, I think you really embraced the spirit of NaBloPoMo and really went for it. And I love (and appreciate) your honesty–you should be so very proud of yourself, Casey.
Thanks for sharing your life with the Internetz!

I was hooked on checking your site daily all through NaBloPoMo. I really respect your honesty and I think it’s incredibly important not to sugar coat things because otherwise, people have an askew view of what life is like and may think there is something wrong with themselves for thinking this or feeling that. I thought you were incredibly brave in opening up the way that you did and I thank you for doing that!
My favorite post? It would have to be the one where you talk about how you and Casey hit it off even with your very different backgrounds. LOVED IT! Because you were all ** and he was all **! ๐

I click on your link first when I see there’s something new in Bloglines. (shhh…don’t tell the others…we don’t want them to be jealous or anything.)
The Moosh is too adorable and you write from the heart.

I loved the post about the newlyweds & bungee cords along with faking it. Also, the overdose was very memorable.

So I’ve commented before, but I’m one of those admitted lurkers. I think some of my favorites really have to deal with the pregnancy. I spent my entire pregnancy on Zofran, as well. As I read your story, I remembered literally falling into my husband’s arms screaming and crying, “I can’t do this anymore. I can’t.” And once I got a few breaths in, I ran to throw up again. I felt the same way…that people were thinking that I just needed to suck it up and deal with “being pregnant”. It seemed that only I (and luckily, my FABULOUS OB) knew that what I was going through wasn’t just ‘normal’ pregnancy stuff. Thanks for helping to raise awareness. So many people have no clue that this really exists.
P.S. I absolutely love your pics (and the green sweater/white vest combo is awesome….mind if I ask where they’re from?)
p.p.s. Thanks for all the hard work blogging and giving me something to read at work!

I am a lurker! I happened upon your blog from another blog from a girl at our church here in Dallas… Captivating writing and the moosh’s great clothes keep me checking back, I suppose! I will admit to making a run to baby Gap to find some pinky striped stuff for my little girl after seeing all those photos!

Hello, i am delurking! I stumbled upon your blog a few months ago and check just about everyday. The moosh is just too cute, and you dress her exactly how i would dress my little girl if i had one. Actually at times it makes me want to have one just to play dress up but then i realize that is the wrong reason to have a child ๐
How you met Cody, The overdose, Faking it for the hot doctors are worthy of best of.
Keep up the great work, i am entertained each and every time i visit your blog.

There’s no way I could pick just one. Literary birth control? It’s funny ’cause it’s true. New mommy crazies? Thank you for putting the word out that almost everyone has some sort of out-of-body experience as the mother to a newborn. The “How I met Cody” series? I’m a sucker for a good love story. And of course all the moosh pictures. She’s too cute for words.
I’m hooked on Moosh in Indy – I can’t wait for more great stories!
