OH WHY OH WHY DID I EVER GO SELF HOSTED?

I am having so many issues and am losing so much sleep over this whole hot mess that this is no longer an enjoyable hobby but a source of desserts spelled backwards.

(stressed, people, s t r e s s e d.)

I know no web designers, I don’t have the time to teach myself hardly anything (as much as I want to) online tutorials may as well be in Klingon and the tears are starting to flow. This isn’t fun anymore.

Go enjoy other peoples blogs who know what they’re doing, because this one’s going to be on hiatus for  a while.

Klonopin? Anybody? Anybody?

    And picking up an HTML for Dummies book probably wouldn’t be a bad idea either.

    I turn to my hubby for my design issues, otherwise I’d offer help, too.

  10. I’ve been thinking about switching too, but will probably put it off for these very reasons until I have a bit more time on my hands. Hugs to you, honey. Don’t let the design issues keep you from writing. Love the new banner, btw. I hope the sweet people who offered help in the comments can make your tears stop. 🙂

  11. I love that new banner, but I share your fear about being self-hosted. I know a bit about web design, but not enough to keep the stress away and the desserts away from my belly.

    Because of you, I looked into getting my own hosting gig this past weekend. Then my brain started cramping really really bad just reading the first page of How To on wordpress.org.

    Let me tell ya, I’ve had brain farts ALL week since.

  24. OMG! I LOVE your new banner. LOVE.

    I’m such a technotard that I’ve hired out help for my blog. I feel the same way about going self-hosted. I feel like I don’t have any control anymore…no backup? I’ve crashed my site like 4 times and my dearest Carrisa (carrisablog.com) has rebuilt it for me. bless.

  25. Eek! This is precisely why I’m so scared to make the move to a “real” blog. But when I do make the move (and it is coming soon), and face the inevitable coding disasters and whatnot, I’m coming back to this very post and stalking all the lovely people who offered to help you. 😉

    When I moved over to self hosted it was easy as pie (and I know NOTHING). I think I was lucky. Very, very lucky.

    You’ll figure it out.
